What Does Mint Mean to You?

Trying Something New

"Mint makes me feel good and excited. Trying something new makes me nervous, when I go to Mint, I think “I can do this!”

A Privilege to Be Part of

“It is a privilege to be welcomed into the Mint family, and I think we get more back from the Mint crew than we give. It is such a positive, supportive and motivating community to be part of.

Mint has been training at The Fit Collective for 7 years and doing the Alpha Challenge since we started 5 years ago. During this time, we have watched the crew develop not only strength, balance and coordination but confidence and camaraderie. It is truly inspirational to Andrew and I watching the team taking on challenges that scare many adults. Their open hearts and kindness to us and each other is something we value so highly. The people at Mint are a bunch of powerhouses, and every time they cross the finish line at Alpha, my heart bursts with pride as I hear all the comments from competitors about how amazing this bunch of people are, and that is exactly what they are: AMAZING!”

An Asset to the Community

Mint is an awesome asset to our community, there is so much good to be said about this group.

As a family, they have been a magnificent support to us. It means our daughter is included and accepted into a group that isn’t judgmental.

She has been able to build friendships and connections within the group, go away on day trips around the district and in the community with friends and peers, knowing she is safe and having fun, which in turn gives us a brief respite. As parents, we know we have the support of the other parents/caregivers and the wonderful team that Mint couldn’t run without. Our daughter said, “If it wasn’t for Mint, she wouldn’t have so many great friends. She doesn’t get bullied there, and she feels like she fits in and can trust them.”
